For those who dont know, the Deep Crystal system is what I would call the Meguires answer to Zaino.

Its a 4 step system that provides 1. Paint cleaner 2. Polish 3. Carnuba wax. 4. Mequires Quik Detail spray and wipe.

My tri's are sore

Stages 1&2 aren't the easiest going on and off. Mostly because of how they need to be worked into the paint. The wax is some of the easiest wax Ive ever used coming off. It goes on a little thick, but wipes off clean. No dust left behind.

I looked at the NXT stuff while at the store today. They even gave me a demo on one of their cars, but I decided to go with this other system.

So far Im VERY happy with it. Ive never used Zaino, but since I live in FL I prefer to have a wax on my car. Hopefully this stuff will stay on a while.
Wish I had an electric buffer.

My car looks absolutely awesome. Might check this stuff out.

I use the same system, but I am thinking of trying the Zaino stuff this summer. I have some scratches that Mequires has not been able to remove. But I second your vote for Mequires Deep Crystal system. Been using it for years.

A friend of mine just bought me a porter/cable 7424 random orbital polisher,Im not sure which polish-wax system i will use.Im in great hopes this will make ANY WAXING easier!!!!!! Was giving some thought to a complete Maguiars system but am not sure?????? HELP!!!!!!:confused

Two step-- four step-- who wants to dance? :D

Zaino for me guys. Black is black is black. My history with black is that I'm a glutton for punishment and still have four of those cars. I use the Meguire's spit shine stuff (quick detailer) and on the daily driver I use the "Quick Wax". However, for show shines, Zaino is for black! Easy on, easy off and no mess.

When I bought my Callaway it had a lot of towel rash on the paint. The first couple times that I hand washed and polished it I used the Zaino Z2 and Z5. It brought up the paint A LOT and was a helluva lotta effort. But, in the long run, after learning the car and the lines of the body-- the best thing to do was a machine polish. The scratches were deep enough that the only way to get it out was with the machine. The car was gently wheeled two times and in between there and after the 3m scratch and swirl remover was used. Then, it was Zaino'd to death! Now I'm afraid to drive it! :L

Josh, Sounds good - Here is the link to Meguiars new product line, I am going to link your thread to the "Care & Detailing" section as well - More exposure for something you found to really work :v :m

That NXT stuff has become quite the rage I guess. They demo'ed it for me today before I bought the other stuff. Its kind of an all in one. Cleaner, polisher, wax. It worked well, but I wasn't sold. I feel I made the right decision, it was alot of effort but my car looks great. Who knows maybe I'll hit the Zaino next.

I used the Meguire's system and a Porter Cable orbital polisher on my black 24' car trailer. And I don't even like waxing! The polisher makes all the difference in the world. I would have died doing that thing by hand! It came out real nice.

Doing a car with it almost makes it enjoyable. I use the Mequire's pads of which there are about four different grades. Make sure you use the right pad for the application step you're doing. Also, don't get any grit on the pad or you'll make one heck of a mess out of the paint! (No I didn't do that.)

That Meguires stuff is "the top" for corvette's here in Holland. I never used it myself so i don't know. Zaino isn't available or still ondiscoverd over here [:D]

Groeten Peter.

I actually bought a lot of the NXT generation products a few weeks ago. They had a booth at the Barret-Jackson show, and it was selling like hot cakes. They had to overnight more products, because they underestimated the demand.

I used the NXT Generation wax, quick detail, and protectant, and must say that they are the finest products that I have used to date, and I have tested about every wax on the market. My corvette is black, and so is my wife's Tahoe. I've never seen them look better!!! Another product that I reccomend is their micro-fiber towels. I'll never go to 100% cotton again.

I just saw this thread finally. (Obviously I don't spend a lot of time in the detailing section. Hey, I'm just an old hot rodder type - I don't shine 'em as much as make 'em go fast! :L)

When I do detail and wax the vehicles (both the Vette and the truck), I use Meguires. I've used it for years and love it. :upthumbs

It does help to have a buffer. ;)
