re: unleaded gas in C2

I'm planning on purchasing a 1967 SB coupe. I've read that running unleaded gas in a car designed for leaded gas will damage the engine/engine parts. Is there any truth to this? I want to drive the car but do not want to damage it. Are there any gas additives that can be added? I do not want to install a crate motor, nor do I want to tear the OE engine apart and replace certain parts in order to run unleaded gas.

VV,

Thanks for the heads up site. Very informative. Thanks.

Looks like I'll be picking that '67 up next week.

Thanks Vettehead Mikey. I just wanted to be a little more assured that I would be able to drive the '67 when I get it. I've heard horror stories about hardened valve seats being required to run today's pump gas, lower compression ratios, adjusted timing, etc. Heck, it almost scared me out of buying the '67.
