Touch-up Paint

I'm trying to deal with some paint chips caused by road gravel on a '92 Black Rose coupe. GM dealers don't carry anything that far back and the color isn't listed by Duplicolor or any of the other auto parts house brands.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any experience with PaintScratch.com, a division of Bio-Pac in Incline Village, Nev? Their website seems pretty authoritative and the cost of the paint, on balance, isn't too bad but if it isn't any good, it is a waste.

Also, any tips to keep in mind when doing the touch-up?

Matt , Mid America has a touch up kit for $19.99
the touch up color is sold separately for $4,99 all you need is your paint code

any experience with it?

Have you tried it? How true are their colors? I don't have their catalog yet - what's in the "kit"?

It says everything from paint sealer , micro fine sandpaper, fine polishing compound and illustrated instructions. Yes I've used them before. just take it easy and it works great. The color match on my polo green is pretty good . good luck:D

This is a late reply, but I bought the touchup kit and paint from MidAmerica for my red '88 coupe. I've turned into a paint chip repainting guru!!!!!!!
The color looks original as far as my old eyes can tell!
I also found my paint code at Kragen's auto parts store.
You might check them out.
Later,
Fix
