UNDERHOOD LIGHT

Hi, the underhood light is staying on when the hood is closed on my 80 . Which is the switch that puts the light out. The switch up on the firewall passenger side is not turning the light out ??? Thnx Dave

There's a mercury switch inside the light housing. The switch by the firewall is for the factory alarm.

Messed around with the light awhile , and acually got it working correctly. Cool Beans . Dave

Damn good information. I wondered how the light cut out just never researched it. Never had to know and I will never have to now hopefully.

you can also wire in a switch to turn it on and off when you leave the hood open for long periods of time.. they actually sell one at Ecklers I believe (or they used to) if you are electrically challenged
