Had the recall done on my 1999 A-4 C5 Convertible last year.
This month the DIC started to show "Service Column Lock"; it was drivable, just annoying having to clear the alarm on the DIC.
Took it to dealer and it needed a new relay for the Column Lock
Dealer had it for three days waiting on...
Well shop says no more than a normal draw .2 on the car sitting...
I tightened the battery connections prior to going, hope that was it...
I however have a feeling that the problem will return...
I added a Blackwing last Month (A4 Tranny, and did not reset anything), no problems what-so-ever.
While waiting for the UPS truck to show (It got to my house late in the afternoon, good thing to cus it took me 3 hours or so to do the Mod) I decided I was gonna modify the factory fog lamp...
Thanks :beer

Good advice, I will get with my local Corvette Club (maybe see if they have or would host a message board for this topic) and check out their experiences with the local Dealers for service.
Thanks for the feedback, if I learn any more in my "quest" concerning GM certs/classes or C-5 specific...

I had Mieneke install mine, cost $100 (I did keep the old exhaust should I decide to trade the car in at a later date). From looking at the stock exhaust after removal I do not see any torch cuts on anything (I know they did cut the old bolts with a torch, but I did not see them cut anything...
Last year doing a round trip from Maine to Dayton Ohio (960 miles each way), I averaged 27-28 MPG with my C-5 Automatic, this was done by calculator and fuel reciepts, and not the DIC, the DIC was real close though.
