I got one. Picked it up at the local auto parts store. It's small so it would hopefully help at the start of a fire, but nothing major. It stays in the center box behind the seats. It's important to remember too that these things don't have a permanent "shelf life". If you get one with a...
I had a unique (I guess) situation where I only have 1 car (the Vette) and it is not my daily driver. I live in NYC and having one car is more than you need. ;)
So I couldn't find anyone who would give my full insurance coverage on it because just about all insruance companies require you to...
I used intercity to transport my mine from DC to PA. The car was non-running (had been sitting unstarted for 18 years) in a residential area. The people who drive/own the company were great. They showed up on time, delivered on time without any problems. I would highly rcommend them!
I agree with the other guys. Check with your DMV. Most states now if the car is considered an antique (25 years or older) it is automatically exempt from emissions tests. Now, while it's exempt, technically you can't remove the cats because that's considered a modification. However, most places...
Help! I've been searching for a qualified shop to do an engine swap on my 76. I'm in New York (Manhattan) so looking in NJ/NY/CT.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Wow- now there's an interesting idea! Let me play around with my photo-touch up program and see if I can can "sample" what you're talking about. If it comes out well enough, I'll post another "touched up" picture.
Thanks for the great input!

The headers/sidepipes are all Hooker. Here's another side pic. The rims originally were unpainted, but over the years they really started to look bad. They were painted black and then the tops of each spine were lightly sanded to bring out the raw metal. Made it a LOT easier to maintain.
Oh...
I've been searching for new wheels and while I'm not completely convinced that I've made up my mind, I wanted to get some of your opinions.
You'll have to excuse the amateur cut/paste job, but I think you get a good enough idea. (I hope!)
So wondering if you think the new wheels (bottom pic)...
Going out to trace vacuum lines today. Hopefully I can find the problem.
Question: IS it possible to manually lower headlights?? I read in the owners manual about how to manually raise them, but it said to lower them you have to "see your dealer". There must be a way?
Looking to replace badly faded 76 drivers dash panel (speedo/tach). I've been able to locate replacement passenger side, but can't seem to locate drivers side.
Color: smoke-gray interior
I have been searching for previous threads about this (here and on other Forums) and I saw one posting about a way to manually raise/lower the lights from underneath the front bumper.
They mentioned some "rod" that if you push/pull it will move the lights. I looked but couldn't see what they...
I just recently got my '76 back from being "revived" after 16 years. Last night was the first night I ended up driving at night - and now it looks like I have some headlight issues.
First time I turned on the lights - nothing happened - the lights didn't open up. I waited, rev'd a bit and the...
