    427 tall deck engine

Anybody know if a 1990 427hp tall deck engine would fit in a 1966 corvette without any alterations to the 1967 big block hood? My plan is to use headers and fit them to the original side pipes. The motor now has spacer plates on the heads to use a standard manifold with a holley carb. Would...

    Help on 86 fuel pump?

Thankx Ken that sure sounds easier than dropping the tank. Now how do i find out that the pump is bad, just by the noise and the hesitation?

    Help on 86 fuel pump?

My 86 is hesitating badly, and I can hear a whining noise through the gas filler when I take the cap off. The fuel pump must be in the tank and that must be going bad. am I right? How big of a job would it be to replace?

    exhaust manifolds

Anybody know if the exhaust manifolds off a 1978 454 motor will bolt up into the original 1966 427 side pipes in the vette? (are the manifolds the same?)

    Engine Swap

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm thinking the way you are Black Thunder, everything is there all ready for a big block and the motor has everything on it. The carb is new, the distributor is rebuilt with tack drive, I even still have the original side pipes that will look real nice to get back...

    Engine Swap

[ Could you give me any ideas, The car is an original BB 427 with 4.11 rear end. Did G.M. do anything different to the motor when they put them in trucks? P.S. The BB engines sound so tough when they idle past me at the shows!

    Engine Swap

I would like to hear some input on putting in a 454 in my 66 roadster. the 327 is not original and not reliable. I have access to a 1978 454 out of a pick up truck for no charge. and rebuilding with a mild performance cam would be about $1700.00 .Would it be worth it? Or should I consider...

    1986 power antenna problem

My wifes power antenna motor wouldn't stop running, I pulled the fuse then disconnected the terminal. The antenna itself moves up and down manually. Do'es this have a plastic cord in it that operates it. and is that what broke. Is it repairable or do I need a whole new one? :confused

    02 Z06 405hp compared to 67 435hp

The 1967 435hp compared to the 2002 Z06 405hp. Is it that they measure them at the wheels now and not at the engine. if so what would the 1967 435hp measure at the wheels. Anybody have dyno test results they can share with us.

    1966 rear suspension

Another thing, I bought the new spring from The Last Detail and it came with a band on each side. It looks like its holding it from straightening out. Should I try and take them off? Also, I do not have the spare tire or tub, That can't make that much of a difference would it?
