    Speedometer Face change

I just bought a new speedo face for my car and trying to figure out how to swap them out. I put a new tach unit in, but now I need to replace the face on my speedo to keep from having a shiny new tach and a dull speeo face. Basically what I need to know is how to remove the speedo arm without...

    new interiors

I will say that after last nights installation of the race track trim into Al Knochs door panels, I was not impressed. I used my original race track trim, which was near perfect. The arm rest on the door panels were approx. 3/8" longer than the factory door panels, which caused the trim to dig...

    Speedo cable trans hookup

Dude, I couldn't help but laugh when I read this post. I recently just put my body back on the frame, was doing the little hook-ups one normally does. Then I encounter the speedo cable. I think I cussed myself for at least 30 mins for not putting that thing on first. I'm sure this is not a...

I've got a question I've been trying to get answered. I have a 327/365, 1965 conv. and have the M-20 trans. I've installed my shifter to the triangular mounting plate that attaches to the trans and keep having a problem with the top bolt that holds the shifter to the plate. The bolt slids thru...

    Firewall Insu. and carpet padding

Ok, thanks for the help. I going to order first thing in the mourning. I thought I might as well and go ahead and replace that stuff while my dash is completely out as well as my wiper motor. I take it they are probably the best to get the carpeting from as well.......again thanks.

    Firewall Insu. and carpet padding

What was original? Did the firewall have both, the sound deadener and insulation or just the insulation. Also the second reply you mentioned the heat sheid as well, ....you were talking about for the carpeting correct?

    Need M20 transmission parts HELP!

Thats exactly what's puzzling. In the corvette shop manual, it illustrated 2 4-speed transmissions. One which has the 20 needle stack, and the other which has the 24 needle stack. According to my model year and the numbers, one would say I've got the 20 stack. Thats not the case, I've got the 24...

Since we're on this subject, let me ask a question. I just installed my shifter this weekend and everything works fine but for one thing. The long shifter shaft bolt that holds the shifter to the plate, I'm having trouble with.....when I tighten it up it squeezes the shifter so tight that I can...

    365hp Valve cover question

I have a 1965 365hp car. The valve covers, which I assumed come original with the car has the seam thru the "o". Am I correct by saying they probably didn't come with the car due to being a 65 and not a 66?

    Need M20 transmission parts HELP!

OK, someone tell me if this right, The main shaft on a T-10 has a count of 20 inner needle bearings stacked 4 deep and the Muncie has a count of 24. I was looking at the shop manual, and it doesn't specify what trans it is, but looking at the side covers, it seems thats what the difference...

    noisy lifters

Try JOHN Z's procedure of setting them cold not running. I have the 327/365 with solid lifters and set them about a week ago. I'm not sure if it's worked yet due to the stage of restoration I'm currently undergoing, but everyone on here says that it works like a charm. It's listed in the tech...

    327/365hp carb question

Ok, here's what I've learned. The 1850 is basically a 600cfm 4160, vacuum secondary, with a manual choke. I'm not sure of the distinct differences between this one and the 4150 that was stock for this motor other than the choke. The carb worked flawlessly when removed 9 years ago. I'm going to...
