    04 Z06 Fuel Pump

Just had my 04 ZO6 towed to Cormier Chevy in Carson, CA. Seems my fuel pump went out. I only have 51,000 miles on the car and I'm amazed that it went out so soon. Anyway, the cost was $1,700 parts and labor. After I got off the floor, I asked it that price included the vasaline. They said...

    Active Suspension

Not sure why the system sent me here, this listing is for 2006-2007. My friend has a 2005 (not Z06) and has what seems to be abnormal suspension. When driving down the freeway and going over some bumps (overpass) the suspension doesn't simply go up and down like it should. It seems to slide...

    Zo6 rear end noise

I've got an 04 with 33,500 miles. With the exception of the following, everything is fine and I love the car. What I need to know is whether or not this is inherant in this car. When I start the car and begin to back out of my parking space, the rear end seems to make a noise like a bunch of...

    High Oil Temp

I'm not sure if I have a problem, but I thought I'd ask. My oil temp seems to run hotter than my water temp. Seems I remember that the reverse is supposed to be true. While my water temp runs around 190-195, my oil temp runs 200-205. I hope it's my imigination, but I thought I'd ask. My...

    04 ZO6 Brakes

Do you mean the ones from Chevy?? I was wondering if aftermarket ones would be better.

    04 ZO6 Brakes

I have about 25,000 miles on my 04 ZO6 and I really hate the black brake dust that builds up on the front wheels. Does anyone have a suggestion on the type of pads that I should buy when it's time that will eliminate this irratating problem???? Thanks

    Shifting Lag

I normally don't push my Z06 all that hard (tires aren't that cheap anymore) however, when I do get the urge to up and go I wonder what's wrong. After winding out in first, I find that after shifting into 2nd, the engine totally boggs down for a fraction of a second (just like getting no gas)...

    new rings???

I tend to agree. I'm going to just monitor the oil level, and only have something done if it is really using large amounts.

    CAGS defeat

I know, I know, it's a stupid question, but where is the best place to find the little connector that fits on the CAGS connection at the transmission that defeats this little pest. I don't want to just disconnect it, I want the thing that goes in between so there are no loose ends. Any help???

    Evidently so.

    new rings???

According to the service manager, they need the car for 3 days. They say they remove the heads and intake and the pan. They then unbolt the rods and lift the pistons out. They replace the rings and then put everything back together.

I'm going to call and find out.

    new rings???

Thanks, Tammy. I checked a little further and found out it is TSR # 01-06-01-023A. Hopefully I can get some additional feedback before I maka decision to let them tear into it.

    new rings???

I just left the local GM dealer where he told me that a bulletin was put out to Chevy dealers about the wrong type of oil rings being installed in my 04 Z06. While it is not any type of recall, he says I am entitled (and encouraged) to have this work performed under the warranty. He says they...

    Antenna solution

I bought the retro antenna kit and it installed just like they said. Mounting the actual antenna was simple. All the work is done through the far right tail light, takes about 1/2 hr. You then run the wires to the front, hiding them under the plastic panels. They terminate in the wiring...

    Air Dam Damage

While I'm not getting tired of really slowing down whenever I enter a driveway, I am getting tired of the front air dam hitting....regardless. I'm told there is a fix by mounting little wheels below the front scrape bars. Anyone know who sells them, and do they work. Thanks, Alan

    Antenna solution

I dropped by my local Chevy dealer's body shop. They showed me the path to route the wires, and which electrical block to connect into. I'll let you know, should get the antellan through the mail in a day or so.
