My daughters car got a door ding in a parking lot and the other car was apparently red. Hers is silver.
What is the first thing you woud do to try and remove the Red paint ? Any cleaners that could be used ? Or do I need to go straight to sand paper/buffing ?
Thanks,
Happy Thanksgiving!
I was on my way to a car show today and sitting atop a hill on the side of the hwy sat a C3. Did a U-turn and pulled in to look at it .
1969, NOM 350 automatic, t-top, removeable rear window. luggage rack. white w/black interior. Chrome is straight and is pretty shiny. Definetly worth the...
Joe , I plan on black with some pinstriping unless , when I get into the hood, I decide I would be better off with a new hood. If I go with a new hood I will go with a whole color/paint scheme
Joe , not sure about the windsheild thing that was Mike . Post some pics if you can on your repaint. would be interesting to see. Guess I'll see which turns out better or if there is any real difference on mine since the trim is off one and not the other .
Well , I'm repainting the t-tops and on one the clips are gone . One of the previous owners must of removed them because it was just glued on. So looks like I will be gluing it back on when I finish painting it. The other top the trim is still on very solid so I am just taping them up real...
Sly ,
Good thinking . I was planning on starting Sunday but found out today I have to work ! Oh well , I have 2 half days this week so I'll put them to good use .
Had the vert out yet ? I notice you are in Ontario so I'm guessing not.

My guess 8 to $9,000. But it is just a guess. Too many variables . Start at the high end. You can always come dowm.
I knew a guy who , several years ago , had a 78 pace car he had to sell and listed it for like $7000 . Got absolutely no replies. Another of his buddies told him he was asking too...
Hmmmmm,
I never did/do. Just more stuff to deal with if you do . I like to roam around and would feel tied to the car with all that sitting around. Just my .02
Attached is a pic of the hood of my 78. I know it's impossible to be 100 % sure without seeing it in person and even then with out actually getting into it but would like opinions on :
1) Should I repair this hood
2) buy a new hood
I took it to the supposed best body shop in town and he told...
Don't know if it helps or not but I just bought my 78 two weeks ago. it was basically as you describe the 81 and i paid $7500.
