You could have bought two bad ECMS. You symptoms changed with each. Try one more.
If you have the old one look at the plug on the ECM for the injector thats not firing. Is it clean and straight.
I don't think this has nothing to do with the problem. On the firewall on the passenger side...
I didn't have to remove the starter. You need to take off the wheel and go through the wheel well. You will see it better then. I believe the shield has a "C" type end...once you loosen the bolt it slides up.
Get your self a mirror. Once yuo see it for the first time it will become easier...
As for a business. I'll give you one to start quicklly and easily.
I was out recently at a party. There was a company there that said it would drive me and my car home for $15. Limited to a geographic area. It was plus plus outside the zone. It was still cheaper then a cab ride. And a lot...
It will take the better part of day. You do it from the inside. Only one bolt on the engine site and off course getting the hoses off from underneath.
Access its through the glove box, remove it. Remove the side panel on the console. Depending on how tight your duct work is you may have to...
Welcome back. I thought you ditched the stock motor for a 383? I'm not sure the stock crossfire set up will run a 383. Have you done any modifications to the throttle bodies and ECM?

Are you sure he is not just taking your money and not bypassing the ECM? I can see the car running at all with a bypassed ECM. Lastly you can replace the ECM for about $135. Its plug and play.

Sounds like the gear. Or the motor is loose and bouncing off the gear. You need to open it up and look. It could also be the regulator...thats the part the window attaches to.
Jim
If you want to mess with it you need to adjust the two bolts for the in/out tilt on the front track. They are more sensitive then you think. Try a bit at a time. Don't do it wi the windowo all the way up...the pressure throughs everything out. Raise the window to about the height of the metal...
There is no easy fix its trial and error. You can always get it about 90% its that last 10%.
If you have the aftermarket hard rubbery weather stripping you won't get it to adjust unless you coat the rubber with something like armor-all so the glass doesn't grab. This is important.
The...

It sounds like you have the new style with the new style connector. I was never able to find that one that looks like a coax cable connection (its what i originall had). I had to cut the wires and splice in the new connector. I also bought mine from a GM dealer.
If it works I wouldn't worry...
It quite possible isn't. One of the biggest problems with the 82 is the fuel pump. If you choose to replace it go with a pump from a 1985.
You need to be more specific. Whats it doing. Does it idle? Does it run?. Does the idle surge or drop dramatically?
When you turn the key to on do you...
