    Battery/Electrical Question- Losing charge

Thanks for the advice on chasing down the draw. The horn doesn't work, so it might be broken and stuck open? I will try to chase down next weekend. All I know is that with this new battery it starts stronger than it ever did, so that is nice.

    Battery/Electrical Question- Losing charge

battery ended up being 2 years old, and cranking 370 amps :mad. New one was free due to warranty, but I upgraded to a deep cycle battery? They said it had more CCA and could deal with getting charged/discharged better. Now onto finding the reason for my current draw. Anyone have any...

    Battery/Electrical Question- Losing charge

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried performing the amp reading using both sides of the disconnect and had nothing (.07A) but might disconnect and try again, and move the disconnect to the positive side (should this have any bearing on it?) I will also get the battery checked. As for finding...

    Battery/Electrical Question- Losing charge

I always had a small current draw in the car when off, but about a month ago it became larger, where I couldn't start the car if it sat over 3-4 days. I put a kill switch on the battery, but now it seems to still lose voltage (12.1 to 11.7 in two days) charge even with the switch pulled (I put...

Have you ever felt sorry for another Vette?

the worst part of that picture is that most people would not have known that the monstrosity was a vette except for the fact that he had to put the corvette emblem on the right part of that serving platter on the back!

    31 Spline (1972) M22 Speedometer Gears Help

Duke, That chart is great! Is there any way you can dig out the page for a 75' 3 speed auto? This is one of many projects I have not tracked down yet, and it would be a great help! Matt

    Fuel Additives

Sea Foam on a C3 I was wondering if anyone with a C3 has used the Sea Foam in their Shark, all of the posts in the thread linked in this thread was from C5's. Any problems? The reviews of this product seem great, like a no-brainer.

    Brake rotor suppliers

I was looking for the cheapest, decent brake rotors I can find, it has been an expensive month so far (rear end and assorted sundries). I searched Muskegon Brake in the forum, lots of good feedback on other parts, but has anyone used their rotors? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

    Rear differential Advice?

To keep a long story short, the gear bolts stripped and the diff. is toast as of three days ago. There was no fluid leak, but the rear end cover will have to be replaced. I searched the posts but did not find a consensus on rebuild businesses, can people please chime in on the best around? Has...

    CORVETTE letter spacing

That is not the correct lettering for the 75, that is a 76. I will see if I can find the lettering for my 75. The lettering for the 75 are individual letters. Look at the silver pic at the end of the 75 tech section, or the 74, and disregard the split bumper. I think the spacing is the same...

    Brake/ turn light issue

The left turn/brake signal on my 75 will only light up one filiament when braking or using the turn signal, but when the headlights are on both filaments stay lit (like normal braking). I have cleaned the contacts, changed the bulbs. Where else should I be looking? Thanks.

    Shipping a classic-avoid the bull!

I used Exotic Auto Transport from Chicago to Tampa last Nov, and am going to be shipping with them in April without looking for another quote. They were at least 25% less than anyone else for the comperable service (covered, lift gated, door to door) they took 3 days, and called me with an...

    Help- broken dipstick!

Thanks for all of your help! I drove it the five miles to the shop without incident, and they fished it out of the oil pan without dropping it. They thought the crankshaft sheared it off, and that it got twisted somehow. Thanks again everyone! This site is great!

    Help- broken dipstick!

Thanks for your replies. The engine is a L-48, and the dipstick is now 16" long. All I can read is NA (I hope to god this was an aftermarket dipstick), since i assume that is the end of "Made in China". I have an appt. with a local vette mechanic on Tue anyway, (5 miles away) but the main...

    Help- broken dipstick!

I just purchased a 1975 about a week ago, and was checking the oil today, and noticed that the dipstick had broken in the well!!!! A suprise to me as well, as I did not feel or see any problem when checking it a couple of days ago. The question is- where is it now? Does anyone know how long...
