    Dreaded "reduced engine power"

^^ok, cool. I wonder if your volts went down on your DIC? I like to get an idea of where my volts like to hang out--so I can get a clue to a bad alternator or battery ahead of the curve. take care.

    Thinking Of Getting a C5 Z06....Tips?

I love my Z06. She has been reliable and a joy to own--no fluid leaks or seepage and all around a great car. I will probably only replace her with a c6 z06 in 3-4 yrs. That is the only car worthy of replacing her. I like that I will have a chance at experiencing both recent generations of zo6s...

What tires are you running and why?

Actually went with the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport--Great tire for the money, rebate to boot, good tread pattern, handles great, puts down the power to the ground with no dancing, good in the rain, quiet.... happy.

Video: TruTV Ridicules Driver who Wrecks a 2004 Z06 Corvette

where did they get that figure from, it's not a new zr1. Heck, new c6z's don't cost 100 large:) what an idiot driver. He should have been prosecuted.

What tires are you running and why?

same here. So far so good. I plan to buy a new set when I need tires b/c the price is right and they've been a good tire (and that is an opinion based on a semi-worn set) and a new set should be fantastic.

Bump for some engine detail... Finally got around to the engine detail--really cleaned up some oil that I guess they had spilled while changing the oil over the years and got it all nice and clean (pic 3637 had oil covered dust). I've done the wash, wax, light paint touch-ups, engine...

    Question: California Duster

Since my Z is a weekend/Mon&Fri car, I can go awhile b/t washes. The dust accumulates on the booty, and the hood most obviously compared to other areas. I was just thinking about a CD, but I was concerned about scratching the paint. Silver is very forgiving in that it doesn't show any...

thanks everyone. I missed a beautiful opportunity to drive it today b/c forecast called for major rain. Turned out to be a dry, cool, breezy, cloudy (not gloomy though) day and I saw some toys out there like harleys, other vettes, older porsches and I was like:puke, I should be in the vette...

    Aftermarket Warranties?

I don't think all warranties are bad. My car had about $1,400 in work in the last 3-4 months(nearly 50% of the cost of the warranty!) It was 2 separate visits to the dealer--with me and the previous owner and it only cost $200...first issue was $100 deductible per that visit. The second...
