I've got a '73 vert and am courious if anyone's run into any problems replacing the front bumper. I ordered a Tru Flex bumper and it simply doesn't fit. There's a good 1 1/2" gap between the bumper and the fiberglass of the front of the car. At issue is the bumper frame structure. It seems...
I've got a '73 vert and I'm wondering if the shoulder belt portion of the seatbelt assembly is a rare thing for that year of Corvette. Any insight out there? :upthumbs
Hey folks...
I've got a '73 that all of a sudden the left side reverse light is on all the time and when I put it into reverse the right side doesn't turn on.
Any ideas? :confused
Thanks
I finally got my new 2 1/2" exhaust and Power Stix chambered mufflers on my car today. The sound is unbelievably good. The bigger pipe absolutely lets the motor breathe much better and the car is running and sounding like a raped ape.
If anyone is considering chambered exhaust/mufflers, I...
Hey fellas... and ladies... another bumper question for ya.
I ordered a tru flex bumper and it won't fit onto the car due to the metal framework piece that sticks out in the front of the car. The guy at the place I ordered it from said it needs to be removed from the car since it was only...
I'm planning to remove my luggage rack soon and I'm wondering if there are any helpful tips I could use. I'm guessing I'm going to have to drop the tank to get to it also.
Anything tricky stuff I need to know?
I sometimes like to pass myself off as "knowledgible" when talking about 3rd generation Corvettes... at least to my friends who don't know enough to call me out on stuff. :L My question is to you fellas (or gals) who actually do know your stuff.
What years during the C3 time period did side...
I'm looking for those metal corner pieces that go on the back corners of my vert hard top. I don't know what those things are called.
Anyone know?;help
When I repaint my '73 vert, I'm considering nixing the luggage rack. What's the consensus on the luggage rack on the back? Personally I'm on the fence about it.
I had a friend of mine replace the rear leaf spring on my '73 and after that I asked him to drop the car off at a buddy's shop for new exhaust. On the way due to axiom of "shit happens", the lug nuts weren't properly tightened (don't ask) on a back wheel. It fell off and resulted in a cracked...
Question.... I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on the issue of pros and cons of both leather and vinyl seats. When I redo my interior I might go with leather... but I'd like to hear from the experts first.
I must replace the bumper of my '73 and I'd like to do it myself. Any tips or pointers on how to do it without breaking or ruining it?.... other than the obvious option of just taking it to a body shop... which I'd like to avoid.
Thanks. ;help
I've got a 73 Roadster (both tops) and I'm looking to give it a new paint job. It's currently a white pearl but I'd like to go another direction. I'd really like to hear from you guys.
What, in your opinion, is the best color for an early model C3?
I'm needing some advice from the obviously more leaned C3 owners. I own a 73 and am wanting to buy a head shield for the hood. The car originally comes with an air cleaner that has a "collar" that forms a seal with the top of the air cleaner and the hood. Since I bought the car without it's heat...
Please someone correct me if I'm being snooty or behaving guilty of a Corvette enthusiast faux pas... but am I the only one who cringes a little when he sees the wrong generation wheels on a Corvette? I'm finding it a little hard on the eyes to see C4 or C5 wheels on C3 cars.
I'm all about...
I just purchased 2 1/2" chambered exhaust for my C3 and ordered some 2 1/2" tips from a web site I'm not inclined to mention at the moment. Long story short, the web site is stalling me with my order it seems. I shopped for quite a while looking for '73 tips that were 2 1/2". They seem to be...
