I just purchased the complete prothane bushing kit. Now I am trying to find that tech article I saw several months ago with all the tips and tricks on installing them to save time. Anyone have a link??????????

Great idea!! I know what you mean about headroom. At 5 ft. 16 in. I need all the headroom I can get. That is why I bought a convertible. Now the sky is the limit (so to speak). LOL
I took off my wheels and sprayed my calipers with a can of brake cleaner and wire brushed them. Then I cleaned them again with brake cleaner. Then I used that blue masking tape that you buy in hardware stores (doesn't leave a residue) and spay painted them. Looks great through the ZR1 wheels...
I truely believe that you pretty much get what you pay for.....(Except on Ebay). Zaino isn't cheap and it's really labor intensive. The first time must have taken me most of the day to get a good base and a few coats on. Now, a coat every now and then keeps it looking t1ts. White is a...
Welcome to the site. There are a whole bunch of friendly and knowledgable people here who are all too happy to offer advice and helpful suggestions. I hope that you have found a new home.
I would suspect the module. Perhaps you missed something when you rebuilt it. You said that it had fried. That is seldom good. I bought a used but very sericeable module on Ebay about a year ago. It was very reasonable. You might try that. It didn't work for me, my motor was fried, but I...
The airbag can be costly to get fixed. Everything else added together could add up to some serious coin. Since you stated that you won't do the work yourself this is what I would do. I would take the car to a shop or dealership with a good reputation for working on Corvettes and get an...
Also, make sure that they put all the balancing weights on the INSIDE of the wheel. Make this very clear. I had a set of Goodyears mounted about a year ago and they came back with weights on the OUTSIDE of the wheel.. This does not look good on your car. Trust me. It seemed like simple logic...
I just got back from the bookstore. May 2004 issue of Corvette Fever has tons of tips on buying a used corvette. Not sure if they are posted on their website. You might want to pick it up.
I have never used Zymol. I have heard it is almost as good as Zaino. I bit the bullet and bought the whole Zaino system about 3 months ago. It is wonderful. Besides a shine that looks like a mirror, the dust and dirt just slide off when I rinse it. Well worth the money.
I agree with spyysee, the Kuhmo's are very nice tires. I wasn't too thrilled at first as I had never known anyone who ran them (small "genepool" over here) but after having them on for a year now I really like everything about them. I would consider them for a good ride and a good drive.
I'm not sure what you are looking for but I bought a set of Chrome wheels on Ebay mounted with Kumho tires for about what you want to spend. That included shipping to Hawaii.
Another source you have probably already tried is the Tire Rack. There should be a link on this site somewhere.
Good luck
