Congrats Rob... It's been a looong and wonderful ride!!! I don't post too much but I read a lot and I hope I'll be here for life, thanks for a nice site to keep learning more and more about our vettes!!! :thumb
You're welcome! :)

I don't think a bigger radiator will fix nothing if you don't put enough air through it. There can be two different problems here; if the engine gets hot in stop and go traffic, a 160° stat and both fans on at somewhere around 170°-175° can be the solution.... (if it's not get the bigger...
I have the 3.54 in my Vette, and I really like the way they perform with my 389". It took me almost 6 months to do my Stroker all by myself in my garage but it was worth every minute spend on it!!!
About Huatulco... it's a Paradise! I went there about 10 years ago, but it's way down south...
I'll tell you something Fred..... It's a task that you are going to enjoy!!!
It's better to have two or three references at hand, I did have the Haynes too but some times it helps to have some extra info!!!
:w
Well... the new motor seems to pull like a mad bull! hehehe, i'm just waiting to run the first 500 miles with it, and then I'll take it to the Dyno to see what I have because I don't want to break something at the track! It was a 12.5 car before the strocker & other mods. Now I'm afraid my rear...
Yes, it works the same for the 92-93 models. The 95-96 changes a little because de diferent opti system, but the basics remains the same. Here is another link with more pics, it is for the LT1 Camaro but The engine work is the same. Look under the #s 6 & 7

I just find these thread Mic,
I know you're getting a nice deal out there, but I'm going to miss your quest for the 12s in the ole 87!
I don't come down here very often these days, mostly because I've been busy for the last 9 months taking care of my 389 that now it's alive! But fom time...
Well... Thanks again for sharing with us these usefull info, the more I read about it the more I think engine building it's a sience-skill that takes years to dominate, but the road to get there is very entertaining.
Here some links to interesting articles...
Wooow! :eek
¡Thanks Grumpyvette!
I have never seen so much usefull info in just a few lines, I'm reading right now one of David Vizard books (How to Build Max Performance Chevy Small Block) because I'm building a 389 from my LT1 engine all by my self and I've been reading everything I can...
Right now, I'm in building a 389" from my LT1 engine (engine is out right now) and I think I won't have a better chance to clean the engine bay, so I'm going to do it this week end!
Congrats again for your yellow beauty!
It's a beauty, Selim!!!
I'm impressed about the way you keep the engine bay, and yellow is really my favorite Vette color! (very hard to find over here in México :cry ) Anyway; red is my second choice! :)
:w
Thanks for the advice, now I know for sure that you're right! I talked yesterday with a very nice guy in LA. He builds 1/4 mile engines over there and he is been doing it since 1983. He is from around here (Guadalajara, MX). He told me the same that you did and now the next week that my parts...
Great thread, lots of info!
I'm waiting for these crank to arrive (it's a long way to Guadalajara):
Eagle ESP Cast Steel Crankshafts - Chevrolet 383 Cast Steel Crankshaft
3.750'' Stroke
1-Piece Rear Seal (Late Style)
External Balance - Use 400 Harmonic Balancer & Stock Flexplate
1870...
Yep! that beautiful number is going to keep me like a 15 year old boy :cool !!! (I'm feeling 70 with the whole engine lying on my garage's floor, waiting for the new parts to arrive)
