I have a 2000 C-5 Coupe and one of the fog lights is a differant color than the other, maybe fogy lens or something like that. I suspect maybe it has leaked at some point and gotten moisture in it someway, not sure. Anyone else ever had this and what does it take to remove the fog lights to inspect and clean them? Any help would be greatly apprecitate.

:w Thanks,
Bill

pull the bulbs as they may be different wattage since there are several wattage bulbs in that style.

The way I got to the bulb in my fog light was to open the hood then raise the headlight. You can then reach down right by the headlight to get to the bulb, you just twist it out.

I had a problem with my DRL's being two different colors, one orange and one white. I pulled the white one and realized that the previous owner installed the wrong wattage bulb and it was running so hot it literally burned off the orange coating of the bulb. Make sure the correct bulbs are used in both lights.

While you are behind the headlight changing the bulb grab ratchet with a 10 mm socket and take the light out, get some fingernail polish remover and go to town on the glass and get them good and clean

C-5 Fog Light Removal for cleaning purposes

Splash,

My problem is with the fog lights, one is cloudy and the other one is clear. I want to remove them to clean them; what does this entail? Do they just un-bolt and un-plug the connection or what?

Any details on this would help.
Thanks,
Bill
