I am having a major problem since the previous owner & his corvette modification shop did a mickey-mouse job on the support for this T56 in my car. I need to find out if anyone has an experience fabricating a custom brace/bracket for this tranny into a C4. Right now, it is just resting on a small plate of metal - nowhere need where it needs to be with a thick, robust structural support piece. Does anyone have any ideas? I want to stay away from putting in another tranny due to the cost and there has got to be a way to get this engineered.
Currently the torque arm is cracked due to the stress of the engine and needs to be fixed ASAP. I am going to get it back to my house today & then go from there with it.
Any ideas, comments or suggestions (including pics!) would be most appreciated!!!!!!
