yeah right, like that will make a difference.
Any Viper will be so far behind you in your dust they won't be able to even see if the paint had any glitches in it or not.
:D

Yo Heaven, I cant tell you how many times I have painted cars twice just to make them how I wanted them. most times when I build a car its just like what you have done, together, apart, together, apart. I look forward to seeing this car in person next carlisle!!!!

Dennis

Larry,

Long blends, followed by a complete clear.

Tomorrow morning, Fuelie and I are installing (sorry Mark....re-installing :gap) the headlight buckets, tail lights, emblems, bumpers, etc. in preparation for the short trip back home.

Once I get it back up on stands at home, I'll remove the wheels and spray in the undercoating above the tires (about 2.5 feet long by 10 inches wide) to stop any fender stars from happening. I'll spray the undercoating red when it dries.

Dennis,

I'd love to catch a photo of mine beside your beautiful black L-89. Don't sell it yet, okay? :D

Forget it Dennis...No way he's driving that Thumper from the Far North Country.
He's one of those guys that just likes to drive around and terroize the neibhorhood with those cannons sticking out the sides.

I don't think he's ever been to Carisle.... Have you there..."Johnny Fever"..??

It would be nice if you could make it down to hang out and party with the registry guys and girls.. We have fun on parade day (Lots of Smoke) and our annual food fight dinner....:L ..Right Dennis???

67 never been to Carlisle? You wanna put some money on that? :D

-Mac

Hey, you're supposed to wait until I clinched his money!! :D

Didn't Know that...I retract my statement.........:duh

Well...Now we have to get him to bring his Fire breather to Carisle.....

And How about you and Fuelie...??? Can you say Road Trip...

I can't imagine that car looking any better than it already did, at least from the pictures I saw. But hey, if I had the $$$, and I had that car, I'd be looking for perfection as well. That's a real beauty, inside, and out....and especially under the hood!

Road trip, did you say road trip :L how about Auburn in the spring, Carlisle in the fall? We can have a 50-50 for gas money split it up for all those gas guzzlers;LOL

;LOL

I spent the entire day at the shop. More about what we were doing later, but I have to tell you a short story.

;LOL

The shop accepts a co-op high school student a couple of days a week to help them out and to give him a leg up on the trade. The 17-year old guy is working away today, and us old farts got a great idea.

;LOL

Since the Hooker side tubes are off for the re-spray, I thought it was time to acquaint this young man with "real" power. Late this afternoon, we waited for him to walk by the car and I hit the ignition. Just as his leg passed by the open mouth........Ka-Boom :blow ........she fired.

The poor guy jumped two feet. His eyes were still bugging out :eek when I headed for home. All I said was, "That ain't no Honda fart pipe, Son." ;)

That pic would have been a worth a 1000 words....to bad you didn't video it..

Thanks to Fuelie for helping out this morning. Re-mounting those completely disassembled headlight buckets sure is a pain when you're looking to protect fresh paint. But, we got it done without damage. :upthumbs

I swear there's over a hundred individual pieces, counting screws, bolts, springs, pivots, limit switches, etc. for the entire assembly. :crazy

We also got the taillights, front signal lights, gas cap and trim, door handles and locks, deck emblem, antenna, back up lights, etc. back on without a scratch.

Tomorrow....bumpers, lower rear valance, hood, wiper grills, side tubes and.....homeward bound. :bu

Bob,

Everything looks great, how about a shot of the underside of the hood with the "ramair" setup on it.
