Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Question: How many Z07 owners do we have here?

Ah... that's simple enough. That would explain why it was eluding me. It's not there, only Z51. Did they produce the Z07 package in 1990 or just the Z51 package?

I believe that the Z07 package became available in 1992 IIRC.

OK, going back through here I find a post 1991 first year.

Hello,

Is there still a Z07 registry? I have two ruby M6 Z07s.

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris, Yes I still maintain the Z07 registry.

I can check your numbers against the many anniversary Z07s listed if they are not in we can add them.

Looking at the list there is approx. 330 Anniversary Vettes in the registry.

An up, date so far here are the figures for the years. For as many that were produced not a lot accounted for.

11- 1991
19-1992
338-1993
15-1994
12-1995

1993 40th Anniversary (Ruby) Z07

Morning,

I started a very informal 93 Ruby Z07 spreadsheet. It only has 5 cars from the past year, but still, Ill continue to update it.

The first two vins are mine, the other 3 are ones that were or are for sale:
1G1YY23P8P5118271 ~128K Miles, 6 Speed, Road Trip Car, South Jersey
1G1YY23P6P5118280 ~30K mILES, 6 Speed, Driven ~400 Miles/Year Car, South Jersey

1G1YY23P7P5113028 ~2k Miles, 6 Speed, Ohio
1G1YY23P6P5112856 ~120K Miles, 6 Speed, Florida
1G1YY23P6P5105096 ~113k Miles, 6 Speed, CT

I am constantly watching ebay and craigslist and will continue to update the list anytime I identify a ruby Z07.

If you have any background on either of the two I own, Id love to know it.

By the way, the road trip car, I took that through Pittsburgh last summer, stayed down at South Side. It was a great time! I put just shy of 4k miles on it via two road trips from South Jersey. First trip was down through Gatlinburg and Nashville. Second trip was Louisville via Pittsburgh, Columbus, Indianapolis and back. Car ran like a top...until last leg, my HVAC control unit temperature decrease button stopped working. I've since repaired...but, having the HVAC stuck at 72 on a 90s degree day in the ran is not particularly comfortable!

Thanks!
Chris

Evening Chris,

Your first vehicle is in the registry that I have, the second is not.
As far as the three others, two of them are also in the registry.

Your VIN ending in 8271 is listed as a Virginia car originally.

Thanks

Hello,

Pretty interesting. Are you tracking ruby red z07s independently? I read online there are 139 of them, but i csnt find the source of that number anywhere. If you're tracking Ruby z07s, you may have some insight.

Thanks
Chris

Chris, I started the registry way back, close to 14 years ago. As I researched, I came across a big list of 93 Z07s....but I don't remember where.... might have been from a 40th anniversary registry... I just don't remember (I getting old :chuckle and it was a LONG time ago). But I believe that the majority of the 93s in the Z07 registry are Ruby's.

Sounds like there are more than 139 Ruby Z07s.

I wonder if the 139 number may be applicable to just 6 speed Ruby Z07s.

Id think this information could be researched at the Corvette Museum. If they can print build sheets, should be able to perform a query of all 93 build sheets for Z07, Z25 and MN6.

I called the museum and the person I spoke with said that cant be done. Im considering emailing them instead.

Cheers,
Chris

From the list that had been created there are approx. 330 Ruby Z07s. As stated very few non 40th cars had the package.

I know I'm late to the party but I've got a '94 Z07 that's been putting smiles on my face for about 6 years.

Welcome aboard! :w I had a 94 Z07, loved that car...wish I still had it. :eyerole

Welcome to CAC! :w You own a fairly rare Corvette. The Z07 is a suspension package that makes the Corvette a great handling car,

I started the database and found quite a few Ruby Z07s. Don't remember how many though ...not sure if I still have my copy of the DB. I'll have to look. Maybe tcxd will check in here soon and add you to the list....if we don't already have it listed.

Nice looking Ruby!
