I've used the GM10-AUX successfully.
I have a MP3 w/hard drive if you're interested... with everything needed for the C5:

C6 rear rims are a different offset. It's not a lot of difference though ... about 1/2" when measuring to the outside edge (rim lip).
Mechanically, they almost always fit fine on a C5 without any rubbing. But cosmetically they can make the rears look too far inward.. when compared to the stock...
no.
that's been done by many; I've read that this works well. Some even went the route of installing a relay so that both the CD changer and the "other" device could be used (one at a time... obviously). They mounted a toggle switch somewhere up-front.
The factory CD changer has ZERO read-ahead buffering; so it will skip rather easliy.
One of the electrical lines going between the CD changer and headunit is a serial data line. It's over this wire that the operational commands are sent (skip track, next song), and the CD changer also...

The deciding factor in choosing is... for you to determine where (how far) you want the mod to take you.
Personally, 3.42's took me exactly where I wanted to be. For you, your end goal may be different.
Rich, my friend... you should of just emailed me !!!
