C5 Threads We Never Need Again

Just About What I Expected

Yes my friends I was just having a little fun. And speaking of my problem of being glib, let me remind all that I was specific about C5's. Think about my question #1. What oil do you use? My friends, if you are driving a C5 and don't know what oil to use, you are in a pile of trouble. Now go back and look at the other questions.

It's all about having some fun - as for defending the CAC Community spirit - there's not a more dedicated member than me. Losen up - have some fun. You guys loved this thread and you know it

At least no one is asking questions about metal cars! :L I am glad that we draw the line someplace! :D
At any rate, as more and more people join this site, I think we will all learn our way around, little by little.
I got a good :L out of this thread!

Remo,

I don't think anyone was bent out of shape about this...I sure wasn't! You're a great guy and far from a troublemaker...or are you?! Just kidding, my love!:m

Remo's just having some fun and no one should take this thread too seriously and if anyone wants to ask some old question again, let them, this IS the CAC where the flames are low ;).

My favorite (on another forum): There is a 2004 Z06 with 10 miles on it for $9500 for sale on Ebay - do you think this is a scam? ;LOL

:L Laugh a little.

Hmmmm, it is a Navy tradition, sort of ;) . When a new person comes on board it tradition (at least on carriers) to send them down to the supply shop for "100 feet of flight line." :W Oh, and then there was the one about keeping a sharp lookout for "sea bats." Builds character.:eyerole

We had one in the Carpenters Union for "green" apprentices-send 'em to the lumber yard for a "room expander". The lumber yard was always prepared for 'em too.
They'd hand 'em a box with some string, a carpenter's rule and other assorted junk.:L :L :L

Likewise in the Electronic Biz. We got the new apprentices to get a "Wire stretcher" and "left hand Side Cutters":L

Nice to see the old jokes don't disappear. Back when I was starting off my electronics career, the guys thought it would be hilarious to send the newby for some "red current" to test the line? I started laughing and said I thought "black current" was for testing. Silly me- I should have taken the easy practical joke. Since I "caught" them, they set up something more elaborate involving a buzzer & a hidden switch. :L

There's a lesson to be learned here...I'm sure of it! ;squint:

I'll have to ask Kenny if he has any 'newbie' stories from the Pipe Fitters or Power Plant operations...
