Hey Gang,

Since winter is taking it's ugly bite into cruising, and there's down time for the Vette, I just bought a set of used CORSA Tourings (14103), 1 and 1/2 years old, for $200. For those of you that already have these on your cars, could you share your feelings on them with me, i.e. drone, sound, pleased/not pleased...you know, the pros and cons. Thanks! :w

I love mine. Nice and quiet at cruise and idle, but when I punch it, you know I'm coming!

Wow, that's a heck of a deal! I bought a used set but paid $550 and thought that was good.

I love my Corsa Pace Car exhaust.....absolutely NO drone, quiet at cruise, howls when you 'put your foot in it' :D They were easy enough to install, but then again I used the schools two post lift.

When I bought my 99 there was a Corsa system on it, I agree with Fullback32, you do not know it's there until you get on it. I also have a stock exhaust sys. for a 99 for sale, if anyone is interested.

The best thing I ever did for my ride was put a set on. I love the sound.:beer

Rick - My Vette had Corsa Touring on it when I purchased it back in 2004.

The only issue I've had with them are stress crack/rips on the back side of the mufflers where they go into their two outlet pipes. I had a shop weld the cracks for me. If I had been the original owner they would have been replaced by Corsa per their life time warranty to the original owner.

I think my next set will be Corsa Pace. :thumb

I didn't do the X-pipe. There is a little 'gurgling' when you back off. Supposedly the X-pipe eliminates this.

I have 89 with Corsa exhaust. Love it, sounds like a Corvette is supposed to when you get on it but quiet at crusing speed. A little pricy but the quality is there.

Thanks...

Thanks to all for responding. Seems like everyone is pretty happy with them (except my wife...but I look at it this way...I'm helping the economy by keeping my money circulating...lol). Thanks again, and Happy New Year to all! :w

Yea, my wife didn't understand that either.

A few years ago, my wife & I were on a fall tour to Pa. with our Corvette club. At a rest area in Ohio, an impromptu discussion started about aftermarket exhaust sytems out in the parking area. Coincidentally, later that night on our way to dinner through the hills & valleys of Pa., our exhaust broke, right in front of the rear axle. Luckily, it managed to stay in place until we got home two days later. As soon as I got home, I ordered the Touring system with the X-pipe. No drone, no gurgling and, most importantly, no griping from the wife!!!

I lied. I have the sport exhaust and I love it. There is no drone but yet it sounds healthy when I light it up and when I put the hammer down. :D

One thing to keep in mind about the Corsa Touring is that it uses sound cancellation chambers versus the traditional baffles. When you overwhelm the capacity of the chambers, there is no more sound deadening. That's why they "scream" when you get on it. The reason I mention this is because the sound volume tends to increase as you do performance mods, since most mods result in increased air flow.

Here's what Corsa Touring sounds like on my old stroker ... 402cid with headers:

Had my exhaust system replaced at the Corsa Performance Exhaust Corvette show in Berea ohio in 2008. But I have the EXTREMES and they are sweet ! To me the Touring and Sport are barely louder than stock. When they debuted the EXTREMES at that show, I has a listen and knew that those were the ones ! Had the X-pipe installed too ! :thumb

i had to go with the billy boat exhaust. found a killer deal on e bay. love the sound !!!! there are three different systems offered fom b&b, i was lucky and got the one i wanted (the one with resinaters, no actual muffler). if you go to the b&b web site they have a sound clip of all three systems installed on the car.the one i have is the first sound clip. i bought it straight from b&b off ebay. it was used but b&b refurbs the whole system before they send it out. u cant even tell its used.
