Its not an ultimate garage....yet !

OK, We got the truss finished today, they are ready for nose boards and sheeting tomorrow. Just a few more days and this thread will die for a while while I reboot the $$$$$$$ supply.

We got most of the soffit up, the sheeting is finished and the siding is on except for the battons. The garage doors are scheduled for Monday(yeah right). The roofing should start Monday , weather permitting. I added 5 more photos to the Garage Album.

Sorry for the dark pic.s , It was a late day. The doors got cased with cedar today and the roofing has started. Weatherman is calling for nasty stuff tonight and tomorrow. Can you smell all that cedar yet?

OK, not to be a smart @ss here, but technically cedar chests are made from aromatic, otherwise known as, eastern red cedar (which truly isn't a cedar at all but a juniper, but that's another story) and the type of cedar used in the construction as we see in Scott's garage is western red cedar. They both have great insect resisting properties, and both have some aromatic qualities as well, but completely different species.

Sorry for the interruption.........back to your regularly scheduled program. :D Oh and the garage is looking great! I am jealous.

Got to love it when the roof goes on. No more water inside. :)

:w Yes ! They are finishing up the roof as I type and the trim too. Just in time for the rain and 40 mph winds today and the snow tomorrow, and then more snow later in the week. :D Come on garage doors!

Mr. cj5nutz - "Cleaning the house like I promised, Sweetie."

Mrs. cj5nutz - "Really?"

OK guys here it is, The Contractor is finished . I spoke with the garage door people, they say this week. I added about 10 photos to the album
I think it fits in well with the property, I thought it was going to be way too big for a while there. Suzy already said we need more house to go with the garage. The new pic.s in the album show some more detail of the siding and roof now.

I will post a couple more when the garage doors are installed and that will probably be it untill it warms up enough to stain the cedar and work on the inside more.
