What can I use to clean and polish the tinted top on my vette that won't scratch it.

Has anyone experienced this I just noticed that the hood appears ro be rubbing on the top back part of the engine and on the accumalator (A/C) hose. Shimming the hood doesn't sound like a good idea to me. It is noticable enough to see white fiberglass residue where it is rubbing. What next?

Do I have to remove the complete seat assembly to make repairs to the bottom and back seat cushions? It is an 88 with sport leather seats the bottom cushion just needs to be resewn but the back on drivers side has a small hole in it. Love my vette and this forum couldn't be better.
