Back in Jan 04, on my 60th birthday, my wife tells me to order a new Vette. And to get with the Museum delivery. She said that I had worked 40 years and I deserved it. I never argue with my wife when she makes so much sense :Wso I ordered a MSG vert with the 1SB package and we flew down to...
I did my 04 calipers using Rustoleum red and a small brush. Clean the calipers with a degreaser first. I painted right over the Corvette lettering then, when it was dry, I took a flat file and filed the paint off the letters. It's been over a year and they look bright and no peeling.:beer
First things I bought were a rear end apron, so I wouldn't scratch the rear putting stuff in the trunk, and a trunk partion, so the rag top is protected when it's down. I installed them in the Museum parking lot when I picked up the Vette.:)
Hi Gerry..
The town of Potsdam hasn't changed much since you left. The Clarkson campus has been consolidated to the Hill Campus area. There aren't any classes held in the buildings downtown. The Hill campus has grown considerably as a result.
I moved up from New York City in 1972 and bought a...

I made a wooden dolly, for my 65, out of 2x6's and put steel 3in. casters on it. I also put a higher rear support that came under the body in the gas tank area. It rolled grreat around the shop and I built it high enough to work under the body. Didn't have $50 into it.

Old post, but I just found it. I have a 65 2 top convertible, 327/350hp,4 spd, sidepipes, knockoffs, and teakwheel. I did a 3yr body-off on it. Farmed out the xmission and rear-end rebuild and did the rest myself. From sandblasted frame to paint. What Fun!!! It's a driver for me and it's been to...

I did a frame repair on my 65 in the same area that you describe. I cut out the rust and welded in steel plate of comparable gauge. I made new end caps, but left a half moon opening in the bottom edge to help water drain out. I 'm pretty sure end caps are available ( Dr. Rebuild, I...
When I changed the pwr window mech. in my daughter's 84, the bolts holding the glass on the frame are actually studs. They don't come off. The glass had a metal strip on its bottom with slots for the studs to go through. Use the clamps, as previously mentioned, to keep the glass in postion to...
Pull the fuse for the fuel pump, start the engine and let it run 'till it dies. This will bleed off the pressure in the fuel lines at the pump/sender asm. ....Later, Frank

Thanks for the info...as it turns out , the correct relay, 14100455, is the cheapest @ $7.46 from the dealer. I'll order one tomorrow so I'll have spare for the trip to Carlisle. Thanks again..:beer Frank
Anybody have the part# of the fuel pump relay for a 94 LT1. The dealer has two listed, and they're not broken down by VIN,(LT1 or LT5). Any info would be appreciated, so I don't have to tear into the pass. side of the dash, stand on my head and wiggle my tri-focals up and down to see 2 inches in...
Boonie, I posted a thread on bleeding a LT1 cooling system. My method worked great on my wife's LT1. Do a search, under forums, on "LT1 coolant bleeding". Hope this helps..Frank
Hi Caddy..The console comes apart the same for a 6 speed as it does for an auto. The only difference is the removal of the shift knob for the 6 spd. After pulling up on the shifter button (which is held in place by a retainer, just a friction fit),remove the set screw thats recessed in the...
The front and rear speakers mount in an enclosed box. The amps mount on the back of these enclosures. You need Bose speaker enclosures to have it mount and sound right....Frank
Well I think I have more than I should tied up in this. I got the rear speakers, one pair of front speakers, front and rear amps and the dash control head for $700 from a member on this site. You could probably do better from a Corvette salvage yard. I then bought from Doctor Don's: BOSE rcvr =...
CSC67, How many miles on her? Does it accelerate a little slower than you think it should? I'm thinking a possibly plugged converter. Just a thought..Frank
