Well, this isn't exactly the conferate surrender at Appomatix, but the long rift in our Corvette Community Has come to an end at last. This thread has been kicking around here for a year and a half, giving the owners of Millenium Yellow and the owners of Quicksilver a reason to throw darts at each other.
But we have resolution at last!
On the one hand, we have the Massachusetts Yankee (Remo), who enjoys stirring the pot a bit, despite the conservatively colored Corvette he drives. He enjoys being under-estimated, which is why his convertible gives no obvious indication of the Lingenfelter upgrade he recently got (unless you happen to be standing right next to it.) Beware, fellow C5 owners- Remo has given evidence that he may be preparing to shed his conservative mask and start going cannibal on us at stop lights.
On the other hand, we have the brash Rebel (6Shooter), who's "in you face" color choice of Corvette (or so we learned from his wife at Cruisefest) is actually compensation for not having been hugged enough as a child.
One gets meds in the winter, the other one apparently needs them, too.
But they have finally been convinced to put aside their color differences, and embrace the diversity that exists in the Corvette universe!
Ah, Detente can be wonderful! (Enjoy it while you can, folks. This will last only until the next occasion when the New England weather prevents Remo from being able to drive his Vette, and Dwayne decides to point out that Remo lives in the wrong part of the country.)
