:w Hello.

I just ran out at Redline just outside Dallas, it was about 80F outside and I was wondering how my car did compared to other bone stock 96 times.

60' = 2.1263
330' = 5.8822
1/8ET = 8.9637
1/8MPH = 80.49

Thanks.

When my '96 LT1 A4 with 2.59 gears was bone stock, with the air temp 78 F and the hum 100%, these were my 1/8th times.

60' = 2.199
330' = 6.067
1/8ET = 9.223
1/8MPH = 78.95

Nothin' to write home about, for sure.

Awsome. Thanks for the reply. I was very curious to see if that was on par with others.

Do you know your bone stock 1/4mi? 13.8? I may or may not get to Ennis this season.

Thanks.

I would also be interested in quarter mile times. I have been wanting to go out to the track for quite some time but nothing seems to be wanting to go right anymore. Now I am out on vacation (Thank God).

Hello also Shane......here are the 1/4 mile times past the 1/8th mile times above.

1000' 11.917
1/4ET 14.100
1/4MPH 101.58

Keep in mind, this was a truly STOCK Corvette, none of this, "well the motor is stock, buttttttt....." nonsense.

From what I've read, it is pretty typical of the times you can expect, give or take a few tenths here and there depending on elevation, air temp, humidity and track conditions.

:D Your 1/4mi trap pleases me. My 1/8mi trap being a bit higher than yours hopefully should mean that my 1/4mi trap should be 102 or maybe even 103. :_rock

Though, I did find that my vette has a K&N filter. :( Oh well. I guess I am not 100% bone stock. hehehe.

Not necessarily. With your lower ET, that means you spent LESS time traveling down the strip and therefore had less time to accumulate a higher trap speed.

Under equal conditions, if I had run a 13.8 or 13.9, my trap speed would most likely have been correspondingly lower....possibly less than 100mph.

There is entirely too much hype about that K&N filter business. Yours was certainly as stock as mine. It's these people that do torque converter changes, different rear end gears, install tranny shift kits, long tube headers, low restriction exhaust systems and all the rest of that monkey business, and then have the gall to state that their car is "stock", that gets my goat.

JUST my opinion, of course.;)

It is my experience that I get a higher trap speed when I spend some time spinning my wheels at launch. Of course, that hurts ET. I find a slight inverse relationship between ET and trap speed when using the same car at the same track. For example, my fastest ET was 12.42 (2600' elevation) @ 111. My fastest trap speed was 112.99, but the ET was more like 12.8 seconds.

105,000 mile '95 automatic , bone stock.
8.95 @ 79.43 1/8........13.86 @ 99.74 1/4.......85 degrees and 40% RH.
