Silver for me....
When I was a little kid, my dog (and best friend) Fluffybumkins, was run over by a yellow car. Things were so bad, that it took me eleven years to eat a banana again.
When I see a yellow car, I think of that terrible day in June...I was throwing a stick and Fluffybumkins would run after it...I guess I threw it too hard and it went into the street...to this day I can hear the screech of breaks...
Wait a minute...I just realized...I never had a dog. We were too poor to have a dog.
Oh yeah, the question was why I liked silver...because it looks more mature, dignified and on a Vette it's "Yes, I'm cool. Not flashy or showie. Cool".

I don't know if this means anything but I was at my local dealer on Saturday and saw 8 C6s on the lot.
One awesome Black/Black was undergoing its final inspection (the new owner was going over the car with a fine tooth comb) and there was a yellow coupe parked nearby. On "display" were two silver cars and another black next to an '04 Z16 while two other silvers cars sat elsewhere on the lot. A fifth silver came back from a test drive while I was browsing.
So either all of the other colors were being bought up faster and the silver cars were leftovers or the dealer thought that silver would be the most desirable and ordered a ton of them.
Either that or it was just dumb luck!
Either way, the dealer tally was 5 to 1 in favor of silver on that visit.
Sadly, the dealer tally was 5 to 3 in favor of automatics as well. Damn Californians.

Bought my first Vette when I lived in San Jose by the dealer one town over (Los Gatos). I remember all my neighbors surprised that it wasn't an automatic. In the Almaden Valley, they didn't want to be bothered to shift their own gears...
